Grand Seminar
As the world moves toward cleaner energy, hydrogen is emerging as a key solution due to its zero-emission potential. Its development is closely linked to Earth science, particularly in areas like natural resources, renewable energy, and environmental impact. However, many Earth science students have limited exposure to hydrogen technologies. The ESCO 2025 Seminar, themed “The Role of Hydrogen in the Global Energy Transition to Sustainable Energy” aims to introduce hydrogen's potential, explore its technological challenges, and connect it with Earth science concepts such as geochemistry, climate change, and energy resources. The seminar also serves as a platform for knowledge exchange among experts, industry, and students, while highlighting career opportunities in the hydrogen and sustainable energy sectors.
